Wireless Sensor Network Sustenation by Using Clusterhead Assortment and Multipath Routing
With the advent of mobile computing, the wireless Sensor Network provides a whole new arena of real time embedded system with wide variety of the application. However WSNs have limited computation, energy, and memory resources. The authors' approach is to minimize the energy consumption. This is taken care in their work by allowing only some nodes in a cluster of sensor nodes, called cluster heads, to communicate with the base station. This paper deals with an algorithm for appropriate cluster-head election which reduces the energy consumption and enhances the lifetime of the network.
