In an era defined by effective communication, interconnectivity, and technological advancement, anything is viable, including a remote work arrangement and the management of 'Virtual teams'. If research reports are anything to go by, the trend towards the emergence of remote employment cannot be missed. In a study conducted by oDesk, way back in 2011, around 50% employers didn't mind where their employees worked from as long as the job got done; 50% claimed that they had already tried and tested the virtual workspace scenario and that it did wonders for the growth of their business in terms of revenue and size; around 70% free agents, when asked about the remote work setup, maintained that it didn't matter where their employers were based.
