Modern information systems may exploit numerous XML (eXtensible Markup Language) formats for communication. Each message may have its own XML format for data representation which causes problems with integration and evolution of their schemas. Manual integration and management of evolution of the XML formats may be very hard. The authors tackled this problem in their previous work, however, for simplicity reasons; they omitted the possibility of exploiting reusable schema parts. In this paper, they complement their previous paper with additional methods for schema integration which exploit reusable schema parts that quite often appear in XML schemas.
