13 year old and cgi what am I to do?

Hi, I just got a copy of the Ultimate Bulliten Board 6.04 from Infopop, but I didn’t buy it a friend gave me a copy. So either way I have uploaded all the files and set my paths and when I click to create a new admin to setup it up I get a 500 Internal Server error. I know I upload ultimatebb.cgi, but it still keeps coming up. Can anyone help me. And Im only 13 so I’m not quite sure where I should post this but if I’m in the wrong place please tell me.
