Note the security on each user’s profile. It is full control. If ever a user has trouble and is logging on with a cached local profile because his roaming profile is unavailable, frequently the permissions get screwed up.

Note: after you configure a home directory path, it is extremely convient to right click “my documents” on the desktop and change the target path to this home directory mapped drive. Whenever the user opens an Office application, it will use the network drive as a default.For laptop users, configure offine use.
