2 routers?

Hi! This is my situation. I have a network set up with a TWC RCA cable modem, wireless. However, although it’s wireless, I am connected with an ethernet cable. Now I want to connect a laptop and my TIVO to the network, but TWC won’t help me set it up with their modem. I have a D-Link Wireless router. Can I connect that to my second computer (the second in line with the network) to work with TiVO and the laptop?
