A Degree in Managing Technologies – Your Opinions Wanted

by hwolosc . Updated 22 years, 8 months ago

I am Department Head for Support Technologies at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, NC. We are considering implementing an Associates in Applied Science (AAS, 2 year) degree for ?Managing Technologies? in our CIS Division.

I would like to know if technical staff, managers, executives and decision makers in the IT industry think this would be useful for their employees and potential employees.

I am also soliciting suggestions, comments and recommendations on what subjects, categories and/or classes to include in such a program. Possible subjects considered are: Project Management, Management Information Systems, Managing Technical Support, Technology and Management Careers, and Metrics, Measurements and Performance. Any of your comments or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Please look our website http://www.waketech.edu/curred/cis/hdshome.html for more information about our Support Technologies curriculum.

Thank you.
