Access 97 database

Hi everyone,
I have a database that is running on Access 97 and I want to convert it to 2003 or later. Another issue is that when I try to convert it, it says I have to unset the password but I can’t using office 2007.
Also, will the database be affected in any ways if the conversion is complete?
