I would like to get Access 97 to “talk” to GroupWise. What I have in mind is a command button which will bring up the GroupWise client and mail a form.
We use Windows 95, Novell client 3.10.SP2 and GroupWise 5.5.2. I have eight employees who want to e-mail proofs and proof memos. The proofs are in Quark (.QXD) format. The proof memos are the Access-based forms I was referring to. They are not physically saved anywhere – Access pulls the information from our AS/400 using ODBC.
I know you can use the Send To Fax Recipient… command in Word to use a third-party fax utility (e.g. HP OfficeJet 600 Series Fax) I tried the same thing in Access using the Send… command, thinking I could just create an attachment. However, Access attempts to mail it using Outlook, which creates havoc in our GroupWise databases. Any suggestions?
