I have a proxy machine that is setup to handle all our web access and etc.
The proxy machine has two network cards (one card has ainternal private IP and the other one has an external class C ip address) We are able to get out on the web throughthe proxy… mail is comining in correctly to our Exhcnage server. We have a seperate Internet machine that host our home page. At one point everthing was working until I had to redo the Proxy machine becuase of some conflicts with 3rd party software effecting the Proxy apps.
Now that being said…here is the problem. I can’t or no one can access our home page. When I try to ping from Mindspring or Earthlink account…it times out. Is the IIS on the Proxy need to be pointing to the Internet machine that host the wwwroot directory? Does anyone has a clue why everhting work but the homepage. Again all this was fine until I reformated and resinstalled the Proxy. I think i miss a step somewhere.
