Accessing password protected HD after an XP restore

Hi:

Just did a restore of my XP-based PC. Had a numbero of files on my second HD that I had saved from a user ID that had a password.

After the restore, although I used the same password to create my new user ID, I cannot access the files saved under the old, pre-restor user ID and password.

Is there a way to unlock the diretories where these files are located?
