alright, so i bought this thing off ebay. it’s not a bad machine, but i bought it knowing it had a bios password on it (unknown), i’ve tried everything i could think of to clear it (no os installed on HDD but i did boot from a live disk and tried to use a couple utilities on it). I know there is the policy against posting such info, but i was wondering if anyone could shoot me an email with a couple tricks, maybe even hook me up with a service manual for it (acer claims not to have them, lol). i’ve never dealt with a machine that had phoenix’s trustedcore bios and security chip on it. i’m at a loss now and would really rather not have to send it to acer and spend $100 to have them reset it. if anyone would be so kind as to help a low budget it student out, it would be very much obliged! (if your worried about me having stolen it i can provide proof that i just bought it from ebay seller: sold_broken last week if you’d like)
