Add another CPU on RH 7.2

I have a lot of IBM server 325. It works good on linux. For new linux installation with 2 CPU it is simple to do, just add SMP and it detect the 2nd CPU.
My question is; if the machine already installed with RH7.2 with 1 CPU ; what is the patch/RPM do I have to add ??
Is there any harm ?
