Ok I have like 8.1 gb of music on 1 computer. I wanted to move it to my laptop so I used my 2gb jumpdrive a couple times to get it all there. Then I went to itunes and selected add to library then i selected the itunes music folder. Afterwards I noticed my computer being sluggish. So I decided to restart it. Now It hangs on “applying computer settings” Then when it gets past that I can press ctrl + alt + del then i can enter my login info. It hangs a little bit on the login screen then it hangs on “loading your personal settings” (this is for like a really long time) then it gets past that and it just hangs on my desktop but with no icons or anything. It just refuses to completely login. I tried Directory Services Restore Mode same thing. Can’t login to my domain with safe mode and I’ve already determined it’s not a domain problem because it hangs before I get to the login screen as opposed to just hanging on “loading your personal settings”
So what’s wrong with it? Is it possible that because itunes tried to add so much music at once that it just makes the computer hang like that? It surely can’t be because I just transferrred 8gb of music to my computer? I did it in increments of 2 gb.
P.S. This is the second time this happened. The first time I had restarted my computer because it froze so I wouldn’t even had suspected the music. The first time it was like 7.8 gb of music though. My friend had the same problem once and he only added a dvd full (4.7 GB) and he said he didn’t even fill the entire disc!
