Adding a w2k dc to an Nt 4.0 domain

I have an nt4.0 domain with one server (pdc) I have a new server with win2000 still in the box, I would like to make the new server the dc for the domain and keep the nt sever a bdc. can i do this and will the w2k server replicate usernames/passwords to the nt server. If so what would be the process to do this upgrade
