Adding address books to MS Outlook 2003 Remote Access

Hello,

Our organization has a number of people who telecommute–including myself–so we use Microsoft Outlook Web Access. But, our IT firm said that we cannot populate the remove access address book with contacts from our on-site MS Outlook 2003 email. Is this true?
