Adobe Acrobat free text issue

Hello, all –

I am new to this forum, but I do know that this has been an issue here in the past….

I am working with Acrobat 5.0 (Windows XP computer) and recently my free text boxes decided to go “faded”. That is, even when I make the border color black in the options dialog, they appear grey on the page. If I change the color in options, the page just switches to a faded version of whatever color I have chosen.

I did update to version 5.0.5 based on a former discussion/thread, and while the text is now black while I am typing it in (it was blank/white when the problem first started), it is still faded upon exiting the free text box.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue?
