AIX won’t recognize *.csv files: W2K PC

I’m running IBM RS6000 with AIX OS. I have seven PC’s running Windows 2000. All computers are visible and assessible in Network Neighborhood. But, I cannot save *csv files(in MSWord) to the IBM RS6000 from a PC. I can’t move a saved file via Network Neighborhood, Explorer, My Computer, etc. I can transfer the file using FTP-Win, but the file permissions are somehow changed to read only (-rw-r—–)and I can’t process the file in any way. I have to go into root, access the directory, and execute command:<# chmod 777 *> to change the permissions to (rwxrwxrwxrwx) so I can load the file into the database. What can I do to allow saving a file from a PC to the IBM RS6000 with full read/write permissions?
