I am 23, a full time student, and I also work full time as a “Showroom Manager” and “IT Manager” (job titles do not mean anything!)at the company where I am at right now. I am the one in charge of a LAN with 30 users. I do all of the desktop support for the company and I train new employees with our company software, and I am also the one to call at the help desk. I will be graduating with an A.S Degree in September for Computer Network Systems. I have been looking for jobs in the IT Field because where I am at there is no hope for advancement and the pay is not good either, since I have two big responsabilities, the company is saving a lot of money by having me here because since I took over the IT position almost 2 years ago, the computer techs that they usually called for any computer needs are no longer needed. And any time I ask for a raise they just give me the run around. My question is: Is there something else I should now about this field so that my resume looks better when I send it off to companies? Because I really want to be at a place where I get what I deserve.
Please give me all of your suggestions.
