App Launch Batch file

Hi..I am looking to compose a batch file which can launch multiple applications..some web based and some desktop,where each one authenticates with a user name and password.The passwords can either be prompted at command line of the batch file or can be taken automatically.I am just a starter so I haven’t a clear notion.Please help ASAP..It would be greatly helpful if someone posted a sample code for the same.Thanks in advance
