Arcserve 6.61 for NT- Problems

I have an NT 4.0 6a box. With a Sony AIT SDX drive. For some reason when I try to back up Arcserve spits back an error saying it cannot connect to the media. I have isolated this problem to Arcserve, because I download the eval of BackupExec andit installed and ran fine. I am sure we all know that Arcserve support is far from good.

But I cannot figure out why Arcserve cannot connect to the media. It is giving me an E6069 error. Please help.
