Are my MCPs safe?

I have read a few notes Microsoft’s decision not to decertify certifications. Can anyone tell me in a nutshell what value my two MCPs (NT4 Server and Workstation) hold and how safe are they from decertification.

I achieved these two MCPs in February this year whilst in no emloyment for 8 months. Therefore I have achieved them by studying and no practical hands-on experience. Thanks in advance.
