Asset tracken

Iam currently looking into ways of better controling our Asset and tracking them from
purchase/Lease threw the intire cycle of usage
and then return to vender if leased .Looking for some insite or possibly a flow chart that covers this cycle withall of its variables and things that have worked and not worked.
