Asus eee pc and Bluetooth

Please help. I just purchased an eee. I knew it did not have Bluetooth in the PC. I bought a USB Bluetooth and attempted to connect to my Verizon 8830 Blackberry. You can see the phone on the PC and I can see the PC on the phone but cannot get the two to pair. The phone will prompt me for a code but the PC will not provide me with the access code. The eee still has the original OS Linux on it. “Trying to use the command hidd –connect and my phone’s IP address.” Please be specific in your response if possible.
