Hi,
I have written to Asus many times for a problem with a Promise PCI IDE controller and an Asus cd-rom. They answered me:

Do you want know what is write on German/Austria site? That the support is limited for these Countries and in Holland the e-mail addresses are disabled!! After others thousand mails from tsd@asus.com.tw have answered:
Now, do you mean your cdrom is dead? please contact the local reseller for a query whether it is still in warranty or not? Maybe you still can get the RMA service.
And now, as if they didn’t already know my really problem, a Supervisor have answered me:
As we don’t have this card in Shanghai , so we have contacted our TSD in Taibei, they will help us verify the card again; any info updated, you will be informed as soon as possible.
I hopethat it will be so. But I don’t have anymore by now trust on Asus as on Promise. I knew that their mails were all a stupidity, a taking around. They don’t want to jeopardize them instead of helping an end user. But this end user will write on other internet forums where also others will know some truths: Asus is not anymore what we believed once. This is really a little serious behavior.
