Auto-forwarding Outlook messages into Gmail

Hello.

I dislike using Outlook for work (actually for anything) and want to export all Outlook messages into Gmail. I have set up a POP3-or-LDAP-link (I can’t remember which) so that I can see my gmail messages from within outlook and I can manually drag messages from my Outlook inbox into my Gmail account. But what I can’t seem to do is to automatically fetch the outlook messages into Gmail (and so I spend a good 10 minutes every day downloading a bunch of outlook messages).

Most of the online help I have read explains how to fetch gmail messages into Outlook (which is as useful to me as a philosopher’s stone that turns gold into lead).

Can someone help explain how I can auto-export Outlook into Gmail?
