Auto reply within Exchange server

Hi guys a good friend of mine who manages an exchange server would like to know if it’s possible to send a reply message automatically as soon as one is received without using the out of office agent. The idea is to target a particular mailbox and send out an auto generated reply whenever any message gets sent to it.
