Autosignature in Outlook 97

After setting up autosignature in Outlook 97, whenever I go to Word and select File – Send To – Mail Recipient, the autosignature does not appear on the Mail form. It appears in Outlook fine but not when I email from Word 97. Is there a setting that needs to be changed or selected?
