Backups, >>grumble<<

Does anyone have any tips to share for making it easier to check the daily backups? In an ideal world, I’d arrive at work, grab my hot choc, and sit down to find four emails from each of the servers, 1 nt, 2 Nw and 1 2k, listing backup logs containing only the errors. I have an idea of how this can be achieved using the mailto command and the log files could be filtered but what is the best solution? Ideally nothing fancy. Any ideas gratefully recieved.
