Bandwidth vs. 2002 Winter Games

I have heard that with the Olympics coming to Salt Lake City, individuals and businesses could experience sluggish response times due to increased Internet traffic. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Because we are a small manufacturing company andour resources are limited, I don’t have any way to monitor network traffic. Our division uses a T1 line with frame-relay to our mother corporation in Cleveland. Supposedly, there is a guaranteed minimum bandwidth for e-mail and Internet traffic toand from corporate gateways. However, some of our users have already complained that their Internet connections and e-mail programs are taking longer and longer to respond. Could this be due to increasing traffic as we approach the games?
