Batch files and user profiles

I am trying to use a batch file to compy a template into user profiles in win xp.
I need to know how to use a current user variable
Please help.
my sample is
copy \\server\packages\template\Activityrequestform.dot “c:\documents and settings\%current user\application data\microsoft\templates\boston\activityrequestform.dot
