BDC not showing in Network Neighborhood

My BDC is not showing up in the network neighborhood. I can ping and mount to it. It’s grayed out in the server manager on the PDC. Is it a good idea to put into a workgroup then add it back into the domain? It disappeared when I had to unplug it todo some work on the server rack, since then it hadn’t shown back up. I can only reach this BDC through VNC, it’s about 3000 miles from the PDC and I and there is no administrator there. I need some help in getting it back showing up in the network neighborhood. There are some things I can’t do when it not there. Any suggestions would be helpful.
