Beaking into IT

I recently obtained my A+ cert and am persuing my Net+ and am planning to continue furthur. I have
been working in the copier printer hardware field for 10 years with some light experience in
printer configuration. What are the current prospects for someone like me trying to break into the field? Is the field as dry as I have been hearing?
