Best way to configure Laptops working offline from domain

Hi,

I am having some trouble configuring XP SP2 laptops for offline use.
I want to have users logon to the laptop with their domain (W2k3)useraccounts using a cached roaming profile.
Only problem is that when users logon, the laptop cannot locate the domain and generates an error. When I click OK, the error disappears and the user logs on. Does anyone have a good idea to suppress this error? I was thinking about making netlogon and sysvol available offline using offline files. But I’m not sure that will work.

Maybe someone can recommend other useful settings.
