BlackBerry Outlook Categories Search and Adresses Problem

I recently added categories to some of my outlook contacts on my lap top and then synced this with my BB curve. My BB now only recognises those addresses with categories when I search and does not include any of the other adresses (which are still in the address book) when I start to type. For example if I where to enter the letter “S” it would only give me those items that started with “S” that have a category assigned and ignores those that do not have a category even thought they are in the address book. Can you help?
