Blue Screen

My Dell Dimension desktop suddenly stopped working yesterday. The monitor display a blue screen with the message that there were some hardware/software problem….. I tried to start the computer with the Window XP CD that came with my desktop. It did not work; I got the same message and blue screen. Any Advice from anybody will greatly be appreciated.
