Bluetooth in-ear headphones issue

I recently purchased in-ear bluetooth headphones and am experiencing the following issue.
When I make or receive a call, they can’t hear me for the first 6-8 seconds.
They can hear me fine after these 6-8″.
Do you have any idea why this happens? Is there anything I can do to help?
