Boot problem in redhat6.1

When I turn on my linux pc it starts only with “LI” and not “LILO” and than it stop to respond. I did instal lilo and my lilo scrypt looks fine. I also have a new 4gig HDD. I’m using boot disk to get myself into a system but it is a time consuming. (my boot partition is before cylinder 6…)
Do you guy’s know what will help?
I asked a lot of people on IRC and Mirc but nothing works.
