Boot selecting mode:text and graphic?

I’m new in Linux and I wonder if I can make Lilo boot loader to create an extra option to boot in graphic mode… I boot now either dos->WinXP or Linux->text mode. I don’t want to boot only on graphic mode but to create an extra option of this!
