Booting a Mirrored Secondary drive

by snicklefritz1998 . Updated 25 years, 8 months ago

Have any of you simulated or had a crash of your primary mirrored drive? We have two hot swappable drives with setup windows for physically changing the ID number, temp, etc., installed on the front of them. We have simulated a crash of the primarydrive and have been unable to boot the secondary drive. Some of the steps taken to boot the drive are: using a boot disk with NTLDR, NTDETECT.COM and BOOT.INI. with the disk number in the boot.ini file changed to that of the secondary drive, changing the ID number on the drive itself to that of the primary drive
and we have tried using the ERD. Any ideas?
