Hello,
I’ve just started with a new company and have been given the task of sorting out some of there network issues. I’ve done some digging about in the server’s event logs and found that the following is happening every few minutes:
The browser running on the Domain Controller has lost an election. The computer that won the election is NETSTAR, on the transport \Device\NetBT_E100B1.
The data contains the election version, election criteria, and remote computer time up, and the same information for the current computer.
Am i right in assuming that there might be a problem with the network card? or is it something more sinister.
We are running a 10mbit network with cisco switches, i’ve not checked the switches or hubs yet but will do soon.
If anybody could shed some light it would be most appriciated.
Phil
