I have a network of about 55 computers, all are Win98 except 1 Win2K Pro. I want to run IP only. My server is WinNT 4.0 w/sp6a. The server is my PDC, WINS, and DHCP server. Each client computer is configured to get it’s ip configuration from theDHCP server. All my shares between Win98 stations and the WinNT server work just fine. However, the Win2k station can see all the Win98 computers that have shares defined but can not connect to them. In order for the Win2k station to participate in the workgroup sharing, I had to install netbeui on the Win2k station and all the computers that have shares that the Win2k station needs access to. I would really like to get rid of netbeui and use IP only. What have I missed here? I thought the WINS server would provide this browsing capability.
Thanks,
Mike Winfrey
