Cabling and switches in a cube farm

We are moving to a huge one story building which will push the limits of 100M Cat5 and so I am investigating how to install switches close to the cubes and run fiber back to the server room. Has anyone done this? How did you protect the switch? Iam thinking of getting some type of perforated cage for the switch and mount it to the power pole but haven’t found a source.
