I added a RAM chip to my Windows XP tablet to give me the max available RAM and speed. But recently I had to replace the hard drive and start over fresh.
The 2 recovery CDs that put the system and other mfg junk onto my new C: must have told it the RAM quantity that had been on my tablet when I bought it new several years ago.
Someone here (I think?) had told me once months ago how to tell the system that it could now use this additional RAM as it isn’t Plug N Play as I’d thought that it would be.
Could someone please jump in here and give me some very basic and detailed instructions on how to do this again so that my tablet will use all of the RAM that it now has? That will help it run much better and I’d sure appreciate your help!
