Can not burn cd in docking station

I have a Dell Latitude D620 when I have it in my docking station I can not burn a cd with using xp but I can with roxio. Once I removed the laptop from docking station and log in as local admin it worked no problem. So I romoved the hardware profile from and let the system recreate its HW profile once docked. still could not burn under user profile or admin profile while docked. Any thought on this?
