Can Office 2003 run on a flash drive?

I am a traveling computer trainer and I need be able to plug my flash drive or portable hard drive into a laptop or PC and launch Microsoft Office from that drive. I don’t want to install anything on the computer I connect to, nor do I want to leave any files or reconfiguration behind. Sort of like U3, but more ’cause you can’t install Office 2003 in U3.

A few months ago, I read about a new device on which you can install anything you want in a portable desktop environment and run your apps on any computer you plug it into. The problem is, I don’t remember what it’s called or where I read about it.

Does anybody know of any new technologies or devices that would meet my needs?
