Can Shadow Copy backup info from workstation to server???

I am currently working to set up many of users on active syncronization of their XP workstation documents folders to my Win 2003 file server. Was wondering if it is possible for Windows Shadow Copy to do this?? I know that Shadow Copy will make restorable copies of folders/files on the file server, but didn’t know if it has the capability to do it from workstation to file server.
