Cannot Delete Folder from Windows XP (NTFS)

I have a folder that can be seen, but not entered or deleted. It shows as 0 bytes but when viewed through LINUX it shows 13+ gig.

The folder is a User Folder under “Documents and Settings”. It was the orignial folder for my user id and somehow my folder changed to a new one, with the same name as the original, but with a long extension, randomly generated.

As in, I used to be

Myname

and now I’m

Myname.PC885314341208

although I still use the ID “Myname”.

I can operate under the new user folder, but would like to eliminate the old one. All attempts result in “cannot be accessed” error messages.

Any clues?
