Can’t login with graphical on SCO Unix

Running SCO OpenServer 5.0.6j

Switch to the F2 console to login on the grapical interface.

Type in user name and password.

Screen goes blank, then comes right back with same login screen with a small note under the password line “Please try again”.

Does the same with root or as a user account.

Switched over to other consoles and login just fine.

Need this going as my coworker who “manages” user accounts is lost at a propmt.
