Cant open my computer, control panel, my docs, or any other folder – SOLVED

I am working on a computer that isn’t allowing me to open any folders. If I click on the link to My Computer in the start menu, it does nothing. I can right-click and bring up the properties dialoge box, but I can’t open it.
I tried to open explorer, by right clicking on the start button and clicking explore all users, but it won’t open either.
It also won’t allow me to open any zipped folders.
I have run Superantispyware, spybot, Avira, and Norton. They each found a few things, but none fixed the issue.
I tried to repair windows via the XP install CD, but even a repair didn’t fix it.

Any help or input would be greatly appreciated!
